AI & ML

Forecast System to Frost Prevention at sowing

The agricultural sector in Mexico faced a critical situation: frequent and unexpected frosts caused severe crop damage and economic losses. To tackle this, the task was to develop a web application with a Machine Learning model to predict frost risk for selected crops based on specific environmental properties. This involved data analysis to understand the dataset, handle outliers, and analyze data distribution.

ML

Forecast System to Frost Prevention at sowing

Developers built a machine learning model using Python with KNN and SVM for multi-label classification via Binary Relevance and Classifier Chains. Achieving a 95% F1-score with K-fold validation, they deployed a Flask-based web app for user-friendly frost risk forecasting, demonstrating strong model performance.
